How to make GE-2000NF work with Ether-FSH24G
 

GE-2000NF work in auto-mode by default.  To work with Ether-FSH24G's fiber module, you must set the GE-2000NF to work under "forced 1000Mbps" mode.   Please following the steps below to set GE-2000NF to work with Ether-FSH24G:

1. If you have installed the GE-2000NF Windows driver already.  Please go to step 6 to check whether your driver has the ability to set the GE-2000NF in "forced 1000 full" mode.  If not, please go to step2.

3. The drivers for different Windows are reside in the corresponding directories:

  • WindowsXP -> WinXP

  • Windows 2000 -> TBI2k

  • Windows 98 -> TBI98

  • Windows NT -> TBINT

  • Windows 95 -> TBI95

  • Windows ME -> TBIME

4. Remove the old Windows Driver by:

  • Please go to control panel->system->device,  remove 2000nf(xxxxdp83820xxxxx)

  • Search and Remove the files: DP83820.SYS, NET83820.INF

5. Install the new Windows driver

6. Please go to "control panel"->"Network and dialup Connection".  Select the network connection where GE-2000NF is installed.  Right click on the icon and select "Property".  Click on the "Advanced" tab.  Then choose Property: "Media Type", Values: "Forced 1000 Full".


7. Click on "OK".  Reboot the computer and the adapter should function with Ether-FSH24G
