The AirLive WL-8000AP is a 108Mbps Wireless Access Point with outstanding performance at an very competitive price.  Fully compliant with the latest IEEE 802.11g/802.11b standard, the AP establish high speed wireless network at the same frequency spectrum as 802.11b.  Furthermore, the AP is compatible with 802.11b+ and 802.11g+ devices for turbo mode performance.  The special Interference Avoidance technology ensure the optimal speed when operating in different modes..

802.11G+ Turbo Mode
Although there are other 108Mbps solution in the market, the 802.11G+ Turbo mode allows turbo mode throughput up to 108Mbps using one channel only.  This makes it less susceptible to interferences.   Together with OvisLink's WL-8000PCM or WL-8000PCI 802.11G+ WLAN adapters, it can deliver one of the most stable 108Mbps performance on the market.  Best of all, it is also compatible with the legacy 802.11b+ device which runs at 22Mbps speed.

Adjustable Power Output
From a company that has been offering some of the most popular AP on the market, the WL-8000AP incorporate adjustable power output design.  This design allows users to downgrade the output power when attaching external booster or high-gain antenna for better performance.  The range varies between 6% up to 100%.

Extended Security Features
OvisLink has gone the extra mile to ensure wireless security. In addition to the standard WEP encryption, the latest WPA (Wi-Fi Protected Access) is also supported for extra security.  Hide SSID prevents outside users from joining the network without knowing the wireless Network's ID.  For Wireless ISP and Hotspot providers, the AP even provide the 802.1x Radius support.  

Hide ESSID and Access Control further strengthen the safety of the wireless transmission.  But OvisLink goes one extra step to incorporate Multiple SSID feature.  So you can assign different SSID to different group, then manage the access right by simply turn on or off different SSIDs.
