WL-5480PAP

Taiwan, 17th October 2005 –Ovislink Corp., one of the biggest worldwide suppliers for LAN and WLAN equipments, has just announced on the market the AirLive WL-5480PAP, which is one of the world's smallest multi-function Access Point. The dimensions are only 8 x 6cm, it is amazingly small in size.  User holds it comfortably in his palm and can carry with him everywhere.  The device is equipped with AP, Router, and Ethernet Client modes all-in-one.  It is a perfect solution for business travelers.

When the WL-5480PAP is in AP mode, it connects PC and wireless device so they can share data together.  With the 802.1x radius authentication function, it can even be used in hotspot applications.  When user need the AP to function as an Internet Sharing device, simply flip the selector to "Router" mode.  Now, the Ethernet port turns into a WAN for connection to ADSL/Cable modem.  Then many computers can share the Internet connection wireless.  When it is necessary to add wireless connectivity to any PC or Network Device, there is possible simply choose the Ethernet client mode.  Then all you need to do is plug in your PC and Network device to the LAN port, and they are instantly connected to the wireless network.

The AP is very light and designed for traveling.  There is a stylish traveling bag included  with the product.  Inside the bag, there are all the necessary accessories for your Pocket AP.  Including power adapter, USB power cable, Ethernet cable, QIG, CD, and the Pocket AP. 

The WL-5480PAP will be available since beginning of December 2005.
