WHB-5400G-30 is the 802.11g outdoor bridge operating at the 2.4Ghz
spectrum. Enclosed in water tight aluminum housing, the outdoor
bridge can deliver 22Mbps* OFDM speed at over 10km distance. (depending
on antenna used). So users can building network connection
wirelessly at 2 to 3 times the speed of 802.11b outdoor solution. All model includes a complete Power over Ethernet package with a 25 meter water-proof cable and DC injector unit. Therefore you can use indoor power source and install the outdoor unit within close distance to antenna for minimum cable signal loss.
Web and SNMP management The versatile combination of Web and SNMP
management creates an easy but powerful management environment.
The SNMP
utility's kick Start function allow users to search for IP address of
the Bridge. The utility also includes a built-in file transfer function to make antenna alignment simple.
The Auto Learning Bridge function search for the MAC address of adjacent
Bridge automatically. Data security in protected by the WEP, WPA,
and MAC access
control.
Point-to-point Mode

*Note: The
WHB-5400G achieves 22Mbps over long distance, but not 54Mbps OFDM.
That means the speed is roughly twice of the regular 802.11b
speed. The minimum distance required is 3 km for this model.
Any shorter distance might create proximity field effect which will
reduce the performanace. This model does not have AP mode.
