802.11g Wireless Router
The router is equipped four 10/100Mbps LAN ports with Auto MDI/MID-X function.  But for those who prefers to forgo wires together.  OvisLink has integrated the fastest wireless solution into the device.  Fully compliant with the latest IEEE 802.11G standard, the router allows high speed wireless connection at the same frequency spectrum as 802.11b. It is compatible with most 802.11g and 802.11b devices.  The antenna is detachable to allow upgrade to higher gain antennas.

Industry Leading Software Support
Traditionally, NAT routers have many limitations when it comes to complete support for multi-user internet applications.  Users are typically limited to single station access when using those software under the router.  However, OvisLink's expertise in intelligent routing software allows simultaneous multiple-user access for many multi-user applications.  Moreover, with the latest UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) support, the router not only allow "zero configuration" when networking with other intelligent UPnP device.  It is ready to work with UPnP compliant software and devices to completely remove the limitation of IP sharing devices. 

Multi-DMZ and ALG support
If you need to open a range of ports in order to use an application or server, or if you are unsure about which port to open.  The DMZ function is the easiest way to solve the problem.  If you ISP give more than 1 IP address, you can open up to 7 DMZ port to different computers to use.  The router even support Application Level Gateway(ALG) and special application function to ensure it flawlessly application compatibility.

Full Featured Firewall
 Security has always been a primary concern for IP sharing and wireless environment.  For this reason, OvisLink has incorporated a full feature firewall that includes SPI, DoS Attack Prevention, VPN packet filter, and Threshold monitor.  The SPI (Stateful Packet Inspection) technology detect situations where individual TCP/IP packets are valid but collectively they become a hacker attack.  Email notification function enables the router to send email to notify user about hacker's attack or scheduled report on connection log.  Comprehensive content filter and Access Control let administrator monitor and control the network for optimal security and performance. 

Global Broadband Standard Support
OvisLink has invested extra software effort to ensure compatibility with the global broadband standard.  In addition to the standard cable modem, fixed IP, and PPPoE client xDSL support.  OvisLink has added support for PPTP client (Holland, Austria, England, Israel, Czech Republic), L2TP(Holland, Israel), Telstra Bigpond Cable(Australia), and SingTel RAS (Singapore).  The WL-5424AR is designed to work with most broadband connections in the world.
