WL-5434ARM is a powerful
wireless router with
integrated ADSL
modem. For users whose ISP offers USB ADSL modems that make IP
sharing difficult or for those who prefer all-in-one design, the WL-5434ARM provides the complete wireless IP
sharing solution with the renown OvisLink user friendly interface and elegant
housing. Just plug in the ADSL line into the router, the
entire wired and wireless IP sharing network is instantly established.
Automatic Installation Program Traditionally,
setting up an ADSL modem router will require user to input parameters
such as Encapsulation, VPI, VCI, Handshake protocols and more.... This
procedure intimidate average users who might find the parameter values
difficult to obtain. With the exclusive OvisLink Web wizard setup,
you no longer have to deal with the complex ADSL parameters. Just follow
the setup about the country and ISP you are
using and enter the ISP's login and password. Then the router is ready to
work. If your country or ISP
is not on the list, just tell us, we can add them in the future release.
Intersil 802.11g Wireless Architecture The
router is equipped four 10/100Mbps LAN ports with Auto MDI/MID-X
function. But for those who prefers to forgo wires together.
OvisLink has integrated the fastest wireless solution into the device.
Equipped with the Intersil Prism Frisbee chipset, the router operate at optimal speed in mixed B+G
environment. Rated at 17.5dBm output power, users no longer have
to compromise between speed and distance. Best of all, it is
compatible with most 802.11g and 802.11b devices. The router is
equipped with 2 antennas for best wireless performance. Global ADSL Compatibility G.DMT
and G.Lite are supported for connections up to 8Mbps downstream and
1Mbps upstream. Annex A and Annex B/UR2 are available for
ADSL over conventional telephone or ISDN lines. In addition, the router
features PPPoA and PPTP client to ensure compatibility with Alcatel DSLAM and PPTP
users. Time Access Management,
802.1x, and UPnP
Using the standard web browser, users can
configure many advance router functions. The unique Time
Access Management allow administrator to open access to certain
users at defined time interval. Such control allow administrator
to open servers at time or restricted access. The 802.1x
support allow secure authentication for WISP or Enterprise users. Moreover,
the latest UPnP
(Universal Plug and Play) support allows "zero
configuration" when networking with other intelligent UPnP device.
Together with the Dynamic DNS and DMZ
function, the router now can support any kind of internet applications. At
last, a graphical
user's guide is provided that includes step by step instructions on
TCP/IP setup and hardware installation. WL-5434ARM is the culmination
of OvisLink's dedication on making powerful communication simple.
