The AirLive WL-80000PCM is a 54Mbps/125Mbps Wireless PC Card with outstanding performance for desktop computers.  Fully compliant with the latest IEEE 802.11G standard, the card allow high speed wireless connection at the same frequency spectrum as 802.11b.  Best of all, it is compatible with most 802.11b, b+, g and g+ devices.

TI Turbo Mode
The WL-8000 family is equipped with TI's 802.11G+ turbo mode to effectively double the wireless performance when working with another 802.11g+ device.  

Added Security
Security has been always a concern for Enterprise to implement wireless device into their networks.  The new WPA encryption standard  (Wi-Fi Access Protect) has been developed to strengthen the wireless security for enterprise environment.  The Key to WPA is the use of Temporal Key Integrity Protocol (TKIP) to bolster encryption of wireless packets.  TKIP provides important data encryption enhancements including a per-packet key mixing function, a message integrity check (MIC), an extended initialization vector (IV) with sequencing rules, and a re-keying mechanism. Through these enhancements, the WPA addresses all WEP's known vulnerabilities.  The card also support the standard 64/128-bit WEP encrption.
